About Me
As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of Autism and neurodiversity.
Since graduating from University in 2019, I have worked with children and young people with complex speech and language needs, ADHD, and Autism in a range of settings, including specialist clinics, mainstream educational settings, and early years’ settings.
I have a particular interest in Autism and neurodiversity, and I am a qualified ADOS assessor with experience in completing diagnostic assessments for Autism in both children and adults.
My professional journey has been deeply influenced by my personal experiences. As someone with ADHD myself and having a brother on the Autism spectrum, I have developed a special interest in neurodiversity. I am passionate about promoting a neurodiversity-affirming approach and empowering individuals to unlock their full potential.
I am an active member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I actively engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in Autism research and practice. This includes attending trainings and conferences conducted by organisations like the national Autistic society and CEN Networks.
One of my career highlights has been leading the development of a pre-diagnostic service in the NHS for Autism for children, young people and adults referred for Autism assessments. I am committed to co-production between professionals and service users, and I strive to empower my clients to reach their full potential.
In my free time, I enjoy learning Portuguese, doing art such as sketching and watercolour painting, and going to the gym. I am also a theatre enthusiast and enjoy watching new shows when I can.
Overall, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to those with complex speech and language needs, ADHD, and Autism. I am thrilled to be part of the Autism team and look forward to making a positive impact on the lives of those I work with.
