Advanced nurse practitioner

About Me

I am an experienced mental health nurse having qualified in 1989. I have worked predominantly with adult mental heath, and more recently in child & Adolescent mental health services. I’ve had the privilege of setting up and working clinically within Crisis; Early Psychosis and Assertive Outreach teams in major cities as well as in more rural communities. I qualified as a nurse prescriber 11 years ago and have been fortunate to prescribe across all services in mental health, including substance misuse. I enjoy the collaborative relationship prescribing offers in empowering people to make informed decisions about their treatment choices. As well as ADHD I have a special interest in all-age trauma; psychosis; substance misuse; and family therapy both systemic and behavioural. Having always worked in the NHS and am excited at moving to ADHD 360 to be able to focus and contribute in providing an excellent all-age ADHD assessment and treatment service. On a personal note I enjoy walking; the gym; art; motorcycling and I volunteer at an animal sanctuary and I’m an animal Reiki practitioner.
