About Me

I Graduated from Aston University in 2012 with a Masters in Pharmacy. I completed my Independent Prescribing studies at Keele University in 2019 and was awarded the ‘Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing’, qualifying me to prescribe medications independently.

I am certified as an Advanced ADHD Pharmacy Practitioner with the ADHD 360 Academy. I am dedicated to providing complete care and support to individuals facing daily challenges of living with ADHD.

My focus lies in accurately diagnosing ADHD in adults and my expertise lies in applying my pharmaceutical knowledge to treat ADHD. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can freely express their challenges and find the support needed to help navigate their struggles.

I have developed a special interest in learning about adults with ADHD and other co-occurring mental health illnesses associated with neurodiversity.

I’m very passionate about helping patients achieve their goals. I believe in making the assessment experience calm and straight forward, yet professional. I understand that everyone’s journey is unique.

My recent experience working in the NHS as practice-based Clinical Pharmacist helped further develop my knowledge and skills in mental health. This is where I realised my passion to help people with neurodiversity.

Working alongside patients to formulate medication management plans tailored to their specific needs and lifestyles gives me professional satisfaction.

As a dedicated professional, I am a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).

I’m regulated by the GPhC and actively participate in CPD (continued professional development) activities. I comply with yearly requirements to submit my records for revalidation. I keep up to date and continuously reflect on my scope of practice, always seeking to learn and continually improve my knowledge. I direct my own reading and learning to articles and research in areas where I recognise my personal need to further enhance my knowledge.

The highlight of my career was when I was running my own clinics in a GP-practice based setting carrying out mental health medication reviews. I’ve had first hand exposure to the difficulties patients with ADHD faced.

My experience to date has allowed me to work very closely with patient’s face-to-face in the heart of the community since 2008.

I have played an active role in annual Influenza and Covid-19 vaccination program.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is witnessing the positive impact interventions can make to transform daily functioning and overall well-being. This gives me a deep sense of gratification and motivates me to continue providing exceptional care.

Whilst I am not currently involved in research, clinical trials, or publications, I am dedicated to remaining updated with latest advancements in the field to ensure the highest standard of care for my patients. I keep abreast of latest clinical trial data to ensure my practice is evidence based and in line with national guidance.

Outside my professional working life, I have a range of interests that bring me joy and balance. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also a big cricket fan and love playing too. For relaxation I play snooker.
