About Me
I have been working in the field of ADHD since 2002, with a particular interest in ADHD and women, ADHD and the menstrual cycle, and the relationship between ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I have had several career highlights that have shaped my journey in the ADHD field. These include successfully launching three new products into the ADHD market, leading ADHD clinicians nationally for a decade, briefing US global leads on the UK ADHD market, and even visiting No 10 Downing Street to meet the health minister while working for NHS Direct. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the opportunity to participate in ongoing professional development activities. I regularly attend global conferences, with three planned for 2022 and three more for 2023. Additionally, I engage in in-house training led by renowned experts, such as Jen Lewis-Neill, who was a member of the 2018 NICE guideline committee. Research, clinical trials, and publications have been integral to my career. I have previously managed clinical trials of medications such as Atomoxetine, Elvanse, and Intuniv. Additionally, I have contributed to multiple publications over the past two decades, sharing knowledge and insights with the wider medical community. There are several aspects of my job that bring me immense satisfaction. I find joy in training new clinicians and witnessing their growth through the ADHD Academy and our three-month supervision, appraisal, and deep dive program. Outside of work I have a strong focus on my family. My three children and two grandchildren occupy much of my spare time. I enjoy engaging in playful activities with my grandchildren, such as jumping in puddles and getting dirty. In my free time, I also enjoy reading and being creative, including working on a cross-stitch project for my granddaughter Rosie.
