About Me
With more than 25 years of experience in the field of ADHD, I have primarily worked with children. However, I have recently expanded my expertise to include assessing and working with adults, which has been a fulfilling endeavour for me.I am proud to be affiliated with the Royal College of Nursing, which provides me with a professional network and resources to enhance my knowledge and practice.A significant highlight of my career was achieving a nurse prescribing qualification, which has further enhanced my ability to provide comprehensive care to individuals with ADHD.Alongside the regular training opportunities offered by ADHD 360, I am currently completing a full-time degree in acupuncture. I have a strong fascination with Chinese medicine and actively engage in studying its principles and practices. In addition to specialising in ADHD, I have additional qualifications in play therapy and art as therapy. My experience includes working in the community mental health setting and assessing and diagnosing patients with ADHD in outpatient facilities within the NHS.I am passionate about staying informed and up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of ADHD.The best part of my job is witnessing the positive impact ADHD interventions have on people's lives. It's truly gratifying to hear stories of individuals who have been able to improve their functioning and turn their lives around.I am deeply passionate about my hobbies and interests outside of my professional life. I am an avid gardener and enjoy cooking, particularly experimenting with delicious vegan recipes. In my free time, I indulge in reading fantasy books, appreciate music, attend ceramics classes, and have recently taken up cold water swimming.
