About me
With five years of direct experience in ADHD and a decade of indirect work supporting neurodivergent individuals, I bring both clinical depth and lived insight to my role. My areas of interest span from children and adolescents to women and girls, with a strong focus on the impact of ADHD within the criminal justice system. I'm passionate about affirming strengths and identities, especially in young people, and helping individuals better understand themselves in a world that often misunderstands neurodivergence.
As a registered nurse with the NMC, I’m proud to be both a Team Manager and a practising clinician at ADHD 360. Remaining hands-on in patient care is essential to me - leadership often means stepping away from the clinical side, but I’ve found great meaning in balancing both. It’s a privilege to support colleagues while continuing to build life-changing relationships with patients.
Some of my proudest career moments include receiving the highest academic mark in my university year for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, and being recognised with a safeguarding award during my student placement. These moments were incredibly validating, and I hope to bring that same sense of achievement and support into the culture of our team.
The most fulfilling part of my job will always be the patients - especially the kids, who bring so much vibrancy, humour, and talent into the clinic. I love helping them recognise their own strengths and showing families how ADHD can be managed in a way that brings out the best in each individual.
I stay actively engaged with ongoing learning, attending training provided by ADHD 360 whenever possible. Outside of formal sessions, I genuinely live and breathe the subject, constantly reading, researching, and absorbing new perspectives. Attending an ADHD conference is definitely on my bucket list - I’d love to learn directly from leading voices in the field.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me near the water - whether it’s wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, or wakeboarding (with varying levels of grace!). I’m a novel enthusiast, enjoy time outdoors with my kids, and have a deep commitment to sustainability and climate justice, especially the impacts of climate change on the global south. My mantra is “progression, not perfection” - both in life and in practice.
