About me

With over 16 years of experience supporting patients with ADHD, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings - from community mental health services and supported housing to prisons and forensic inpatient wards. This breadth of experience has given me a deep, nuanced understanding of how ADHD presents in diverse and often marginalised populations.

One of my key areas of expertise is the connection between hypermobility (being double-jointed) and neurodivergence, an emerging field that I’m passionate about exploring further. I also have a strong interest in challenging the misdiagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, particularly in young women and girls, where the underlying issue is often unrecognised neurodivergence.

A proud member of the Royal College of Nursing, I recently completed my Non-Medical Prescribing qualification in 2024 and am now working in my first prescribing role with ADHD 360 - a milestone that combines my clinical background with my drive to deliver more personalised, accessible care.

Career highlights include working in refugee camps as a first aider, a formative and humbling experience that shaped my values as a practitioner. In my ongoing professional development, I regularly read research publications on ADHD and study the pharmacology of ADHD medications, staying updated to better serve the individuals I work with.

The most fulfilling part of my job is witnessing the moment a patient feels validated - when I confirm their ADHD diagnosis and help them understand that they’re not “lazy” or “stupid,” but simply wired differently. Watching that relief and self-compassion unfold is incredibly meaningful.

Outside of work, I volunteer with welfare rights advisory services and enjoy playing the flute. I also consider myself a keen academic, with aspirations to one day pursue a PhD exploring the link between hypermobility and neurodivergence in greater depth.
