About Me

I remain focused and committed to my career in nursing since qualifying as a mental health nurse in 1997. My specialisms lay in the field of Substance Misuse and ADHD, subjects I feel very passionate about and which are very close to my heart.  I also hold a qualification in Counselling and Psychodynamics to further facilitate the help and support I can offer.

My work areas have predominantly been in the community, working in primary and secondary care, residential rehabilitation as well as the criminal justice system.  I find it an absolute joy working with my patients, supporting individuals towards reaching their goals, and helping with their growth and recovery and consider it a true privilege to be part of someone’s life who places their trust in you.

Some of my career highlights included setting up an alcohol liaison service at Chase Farm hospital during its merge with the Royal Free Hospital in London, as well as being the Nurse Clinical Lead at 3rd sector charities CGL in Luton and HAGA in Haringey.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family, husband, 3 children and granddaughter, and I have a dog and 2 cats who all keep me busy!  My second home is the gym, and I love watching my favourite football team Tottenham – COYS!  I love adventures, and recently did my 1st tandem skydive for charity, raising over £1200 for my local community homeless charity NOAH.
