About me

With nearly a year of dedicated experience in ADHD and a broader background working extensively with neurodivergent patients in secure environments, I bring a strong clinical foundation and deep empathy to my role. My work is rooted in the belief that understanding ADHD can transform lives, particularly for underserved or overlooked populations.

I have a particular passion for supporting women with ADHD, whose needs are often misunderstood or misdiagnosed. I also have a professional background in substance misuse, another area closely connected to undiagnosed or untreated ADHD - especially in secure healthcare settings where complexity is the norm.

I’ve been a proud member of the Royal College of Nursing since my student nurse days, and throughout my career, I've remained committed to delivering care that prioritises dignity, understanding, and meaningful impact. One of my proudest moments was being part of a prison healthcare team that won a Nursing Times Award in 2019 for enhancing patient dignity among young people in custody.

For me, the best part of this job is helping people understand their ADHD - often for the first time - and witnessing the positive changes that come with that clarity. Whether it’s improving confidence, navigating relationships, or gaining control of daily life, it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of someone’s breakthrough moment.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking cakes, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and attending live music events - mainly rock and metal, though I do explore other genres from time to time!
