About me
With over eight years of experience supporting individuals with ADHD, I’ve developed a deep and personal connection to the field - especially through my work with children and adolescents, as well as veterans navigating complex trauma. I find particular fulfillment in understanding the link between ADHD and trauma, especially where misdiagnoses like Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder may be masking underlying neurodivergence. This is where I believe the greatest opportunities for change, empathy, and correct treatment lie.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a range of clinical environments - from CAMHS inpatient services to veterans' mental health teams - and have been fortunate to take part in meaningful projects that make a lasting difference. One of the most rewarding moments was helping to develop a nurse-led prescribing pathway in a community veterans service, which improved access and autonomy for both clinicians and patients. Earlier in my journey, I was even interviewed in the local press for my work with families during the festive period while working in CAMHS - a small but proud moment that reflected the real-world impact of our efforts.
Academically, I’ve worked hard to enhance my practice - graduating with a first-class BSc (Hons), followed by a Postgraduate Diploma and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Mental Health Law. But perhaps the most meaningful step has been finding a role where I feel completely aligned with my values and passions: working at ADHD 360, where I lead a growing and evolving team. Being part of a newer service means we’re not just following a roadmap - we’re building one, shaped by the real needs of the patients and families we support.
I actively engage in ongoing professional development, regularly reflecting on my practice, setting goals, and connecting with colleagues to exchange ideas and push boundaries in neurodevelopmental care. I’m also affiliated with organisations like ADDitude Magazine and Tourette’s Action, which help me stay current with the wider conversations happening in the field.
The best part of my work is twofold: leading a dedicated, compassionate team and working directly with patients, helping them navigate their journey through ADHD with understanding, hope, and clarity.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying fit - especially through obstacle-style events like Wolf Runs and Tough Mudders - and I race 1:8 scale remote control cars with my family, a fun and competitive hobby we all share.
