About me

As a registered adult nurse, I’ve recently started an exciting new chapter in my career - working in ADHD care. With three months of experience in this speciality, I’m currently immersing myself in learning and developing my understanding of the field. I’m still exploring which aspects of ADHD care I connect with most, and I’m looking forward to discovering where this journey takes me.

One of the most memorable moments in my nursing career was assisting in the delivery of a baby during a snowstorm in 2010, when our team was snowed in. It was a powerful reminder of the resilience healthcare often demands and the privilege of being present for life’s most meaningful moments.

Right now, most of my development is through clinical team meetings and collaboration with experienced colleagues, which has been incredibly valuable as I build new knowledge in ADHD care. The most rewarding part of my job is knowing I’ve made a difference, even in small ways - it’s what motivates me every day.

I’m a proud member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and bring with me a strong foundation in general nursing that continues to shape how I support patients in this new area.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about horses - I care for three of my own, and my husband has one too. Horses bring a sense of calm, focus, and joy to my life, and they’re a big part of what keeps me grounded.
