Here at ADHD 360, we are committed to ensuring honesty and transparency for our patients, and potential new patients, to allow you to make informed choices.
Due to lengthy NHS waiting times, ADHD and Autism assessments can be accessed through invoking your Right to Choose. This means that your GP refers you to our service. To support you in your decision, below are our wait times per ICB and any ICB formed restrictions that should be considered when deciding between Right to Choose or private care with us.
It is important to note that many ICBs are restricting their Right to Choose offer which will cause delays in accessing an appointment. We are working with the various ICBs to ensure that patient care is at the heart of every decision and support is accessible.
A note from the NHS
Referrals for Autism and ADHD assessments have risen dramatically across Greater Manchester, with over 25,000 people now on adult ADHD waiting lists. For adults alone, numbers have increased by more than 400% - from around 2,700 in 2022 to more than 11,000 in 2024. There has been a similar increase in numbers for both Autism and Children and Young People (CYP) referrals. Average waiting times range from 18 months to over seven years, with some patients waiting longer. Demand continues to grow.
We are proud to be a part of the solution to these growing wait lists through our Right to Choose offer and have detailed how the Right to Choose restrictions are impacted in your area. Find your region below and open the drop down to see your projected wait time for a Right to Choose referral with ADHD360 and any restrictions that apply.
To find your ICB, click on the ICB Finder button below and search the postcode of your GP. The ICBs are categorised by NHS region for your convenience.
Allowances & Requirements Key
• Exceeded Allowance - Your ICB has limited the number of referrals we can accept which we have now exceeded due to the late imposition of these restrictions. Due to high demand, we may not be able to accept any right to chose referrals until the next financial year, depending on future ICB allowances.
• Fulfilled Allowance - Your ICB has limited the number of referrals we can assess which we have now reached. Due to high demand we may not be able to assess any new Right to Choose referrals until the next financial year, starting the 1st April 2026.
• Available Capacity - Your ICB has imposed an allowance restriction but we still have capacity to accept new referrals via Right to Choose.
• Business as Usual - Your ICB has not currently imposed any restrictions on referrals therefore we can continue to accept Right To Choose referrals.
*ICB allowances and requirements are subject to change, information on this page is up to date as of the 14/11/2025. ADHD360 are not responsible for budget restrictions imposed by your local ICB.

We are actively exploring alternative avenues to continue supporting patients affected by these changes but if you would like to discuss alternative care options we suggest that, as an NHS patient, you review the ICB’s website or contact the ICB’s NHS Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team in the first instance. They will be able to discuss options to help you make a choice that is right for you, including remaining on our waiting list, transferring to NHS-led services, or exploring private care options, including with ourselves.
We are pleased to report that our current waiting time to be seen as a private patient is only 4-6 weeks.
We appreciate that restrictions to the Right to Choose pathway can be discouraging and would like to take this opportunity to show our private offer with wait times of just 6 weeks. More information can be found by clicking the button below.
• New assessment bookings are currently being prioritised. This means that if you are referred by your GP for an assessment you will be prioritised and seen if you are considered to have urgent needs.
• Those patients who are ‘non-urgent’ will be held on the providers waiting list. It is likely that these will need to be held until the start of the new financial year when the 2026/27 budget will be available. Non urgent patients will remain on the list and retain their original referral date
*Acceptance of referrals and the booking of assessments in the new financial year, 1st April 2026 - 31st March 2027 are subject to future ICB allowances.
• Demand for Autism and ADHD services across England is higher than the NHS financial resources available. Under new NHS guidance ICBs are required to use contractual levers to manage demand and keep services within locally available budgets.
• ICBs are responsible for planning NHS services and making sure they stay within their local budgets. The NHS is experiencing significant financial pressures and demand for services. ICBs must balance funding health care services to meet the needs of its local population with the financial resources available.
• Patients will not lose their place on the waiting list. They will remain on the list and retain their original referral date.
• Appointments that have already been booked will go ahead as planned.
