BSc in Adult Nursing
Advanced ADHD Practitioner
CPD Certified - ADHD 360 Academy
I have been personally acquainted with ADHD for 35 years as it is a prevalent part of my family. My personal connection has fostered a deep understanding of the condition and its impact on individuals and families.
My areas of expertise and special interest within the ADHD field lie in adult and late diagnosis. I find it particularly rewarding to work with individuals who have recently been diagnosed in adulthood, as I believe it is never too late to gain a better understanding of oneself and develop strategies for managing ADHD-related challenges.
I am a member of several professional organisations and associations, including the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), RPS (Royal Pharmaceutical Society), and RCN (Royal College of Nursing). These provide me with opportunities to stay connected with the latest developments and best practices in the field.
As part of my work, I attend regular mandated training sessions that cover various aspects of ADHD and related areas. Some of these sessions also contribute to my continuing professional development (CPD) points, enabling me to enhance my knowledge and skills.
The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing the progress and positive changes in my patients' lives. By providing them with support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions, I help them navigate their ADHD journey and strive for a better quality of life.
