About Me
I am an experienced nurse specialising in ADHD since 2019. I have focused on understanding the efficacy of pharmaceutical treatments for ADHD, exploring their effectiveness across different presentations, age groups, and gender differences. As a committed professional, I am proud to be affiliated with the Royal College of Nursing, demonstrating my dedication to upholding high standards and staying connected within the nursing community.Throughout my career, I have achieved significant milestones, including serving as the Ward Manager of an inpatient CAMHS unit and as the Manager of a community-based CAMHS program. I have successfully obtained my Level 7 Independent Nurse Prescribing qualification, enabling me to provide comprehensive care to my patients.Additionally, I have established and led my own ADHD Clinic, making a direct impact on the lives of individuals with ADHD. I have also contributed to the field by authoring a chapter in a mental health nursing book, focusing on 'The Service User Perspective.’Continuing professional development is essential to me, and I actively seek growth opportunities. In the coming year, I plan to apply for a Ph.D. program to further advance my knowledge and contribute to ADHD research and practice. While I am not currently involved in research or clinical trials, I have contributed to the field through my chapter in a mental health nursing book, providing valuable insights and perspectives. In all aspects of my work, I am driven by a strong commitment to adhering to best practice guidelines and evidence-based care. Staying up to date with the latest research and advancements is crucial to delivering the highest quality of care to my patients. I am passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with ADHD and am excited to continue contributing to the field. The most rewarding aspect of my job is witnessing the satisfaction of patients and their families with the care and support they receive. Making a positive impact on their lives fuels my passion for the field.Beyond work, I find joy in music and play the piano at a grade 7 level. It serves as a creative outlet and a source of relaxation for me. I am also an animal lover and enjoy caring for my five dogs, four cats, and two lizards. Adopting animals holds a special place in my heart as I believe in providing a loving home for those in need.
